Level 1 - "The Seals and the Eremites":

* To get past this level, all the seals must be awakened and fed.

* Mouse over each seal's snout to feed him. If the seal is sleeping, he will wake up. A seal that has been fed too much will fall back to sleep.

* When all of the seals have all been fed enough and all are awake, the eremites will arrive and so will a strange visitor. You will then be moved to the next level.


Level 2 - "The Search Begins":

* When the Eremite has gone into her dwelling, click on the water valve to turn it on.

* When the water shuts off, click on the small doorway to the right of the water valve. The eremite will float through and you will be moved to the next level.


Level 3 - "Forest":

* Click on the lower right frond of the fern next to the big tree. A green seed will roll out.

* Click the seed to pick it up.

* Plant the seed underneath the other fern (the one to the right underneath the hemlock tree). If it is planted successfully, a vine will grow around the hemlock tree.

* Click the trunk of the hemlock tree to twist its canopy around with the vine in it.

* Click the trunk of the sycamore tree (the tree in the middle of the screen) to shake out a sycamore fruit. If the fruit falls to the ground, go back and click on the hemlock tree one more time to twist the canopy around. Then click on the sycamore tree until enough of its fruits have fallen into a hanging crate that will fill up and become heavy enough to counterweight the elevator inside the maple tree.

* When the elevator arrives, the eremite will enter and you will be moved to the next level.


Level 4 - "Elevator":

* Press either the up or down elevator button.

If the "up" button is pushed:

* The elevator will take the eremite up to the tree tops.

* Click on the birdhouses until you hear a rustling sound. A tiny bluebird will appear on a branch in the upper left.

* Click on the bottom-left birdhouse to take the bluebird down the elevator. This will lead down to an underground passageway that the bluebird will help the eremite find a way out of.

* When the elevator reaches bottom, the bluebird and the eremite will enter the underground passageway.

* There will be three bells to the right of the elevator gate. If you click on the bluebird, she will sing a tune. This is the five-note tune that needs to be played on the bells that will open the wall that leads out of the passageway.

If the "down" button is pushed:

* The elevator will descend to an underground passageway.

* There will be three bells to the right of the elevator gate. There is a five-note tune that needs to be played on them that will open the wall leading out of the passageway.

* If you cannot figure out the tune, click on the elevator gate to take the elevator up to the tree tops to find a helper.

* When you arrive, click on the birdhouses until you hear a rustling sound. A tiny bluebird will appear on a branch in the upper left.

* Click on the bottom-left birdhouse to take the bluebird down the elevator. It will lead back down to the underground passageway. The bluebird will help the eremite find a way out.

Level 5 - "Wind Turbines"

* Click on each wind turbine until it reaches full speed.

* When all of five of them are at full speed, they will light up the hillside.

* When the hillside is lit up, click on the eremite and she will walk through to the next level.


Level 6 - "Cliff":


* A brief walk through a meadow will lead to a cliff's edge. Across the water in the distance is the laboratory where the seals have been taken. The goal is to get across the water to the laboratory.

* Click on the tree. A water main key will fall down and land beside the manhole.

* Click on the water main key to pick it up. Clicking it again to will put it down in its original place next to the manhole.

* Pick up the water main key and put it down directly above the rightmost lock of the manhole cover. It will unlock and open it. Water will gush out and another water main key will spring out and fall to the ground.

* Click on the second water main key to pick it up. Clicking it again will put it back down on the ground. Pick it up and carry it over to the access pipe to the right. Put it down directly on top of the access pipe to open it. More water will gush out and a water valve key will spring out and fall to the ground.

* Click on the water valve key to place it on the water valve. Click on it again to close the valve and shut the water off.

* Click on the tree. Keep clicking on it until the eremite has been lowered into the manhole. You will then be taken to the next level.


Level 7 - "Underwater":

* Click the rusted valve on the left. The eremite will appear inside a bubble.

* As soon as the bubble with the eremite in it is out of the pipe, immediately click the rusted valve again to create another bubble. This will push the eremite's bubble out of the way of the pink fish that will swim through and pop the bubble, sending the eremite back into the pipe. This may take a few tries.

* When the above step is completed successfully, the eremite's bubble will float to the bottom and a smaller fish will swim by and push the eremite into the elodea shoots and out of harm's way.

* Click the green faucet to the right until the vessel beneath it is loosened and sinks to the bottom.

* Click the vessel to open the top hatch. It will float up and pop the bubble, releasing the eremite. She will then swim down, board the vessel and drive it across the water to the poacher's laboratory.


Level 8 - "Laboratory":

* A short intro will show the eremite reaching the shore and seeking the entrance to the laboratory.

* When the entrance has been reached, click on the door to enter the laboratory.

* There are two lanterns on the wall between the windows. Click on the lanterns to light them.

* Click the two copper pipes above to play a tune that will open the hatch leading to the underground level where the seals are waiting to be rescued.

* The poacher will walk out from behind the seals' cages to taste a potion brewing in a pot. When the poacher returns to his place behind the cages, click on the eremite. She will call out to the seals. The seals will jump for joy. That's it. The eremite will do the rest.
